ENTERPRISE Foaled April 9, 2009 - Shire Sport Horse Always wanting to cross a Shire with a Dutch Harness, we found Paula, a Heineke daughter, Waterman Granddaughter, with the Hackney blood of Cambridge Cole. What interested us was her loud sabino coloring. We just knew she had to produce at least one Shire cross. On May 8th, 2008 she was artificially inseminated with Tremoelgoch Courage, a multi-national champion and one of the best producing stallions in the Shire breed. The result was foaled on April 9th, 2009 and the result was "Enterprise", named after Hillmoor Enterprise, the great "Shire" in his sire's pedigree. Enterprise, at a week old blew us away. At three weeks, he was removed from our For Sale page, and today wouldn't be cheap or easy to get out of our hands. He was bred for harness competitions and combined driving, and we know he'll do both. He is very showy with style, distinctive high knee and hock action, floats effortlessly over the ground, has expressive and generous size to his eyes. His shoulder is powerful, compact back, level croup and powerful hindquarters, high natural action, substance and engagement of the hindend. His ribs are well-sprung, but most importantly he is very smart, loyal, willing to work, loves his "family" and we love him.
